Netra is a visual assistant for blind and low-vision people. It looks through your camera and tells you what is in front of you, out loud, in real time.

Netra says it can’t see anything. Check the camera permission is granted, and that nothing is covering the lens. Netra needs an internet connection to describe anything.
It stops when I switch to another app. That is expected. Netra runs while it is on screen — the camera and microphone stop when the app is in the background, and start again when you return.
Nothing is spoken. Check your media volume, and that the session is running: the large round button at the bottom is blue when paused and orange when active. Netra speaks whether or not a screen reader is on.
Navigation mode is marked Beta. Because it is. It depends on depth information that not every phone can provide. It is an aid, not a replacement for a cane, a guide dog, or your own judgement.
Netra got something wrong. It can. Netra uses AI and the internet, it can make mistakes, and it can be slow to respond. Please do not rely on it alone for anything that matters.

Netra is built to be used without looking at the screen — everything is spoken whether or not a screen reader is running, and controls are large and fixed in place. If something is hard to reach or unclear by ear, please write in. That is a bug worth hearing about.
