Delete your Netra account

You can delete your Netra account at any time. There are two ways: in the app, which is immediate, or by email if you no longer have it installed.

In the app (immediate)

Open Netra
Tap Settings — the gear at the top right
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
Confirm Delete permanently

Your sign-in is removed straight away and you are signed out.

By email

If you have uninstalled Netra or cannot sign in, email suchith.arella@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my Netra account.

We will delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm. We may need to ask you to verify the address if the request does not come from it.

What gets deleted

Data	What happens
Your account — the email address or Google account you signed in with	Deleted immediately on request. This is the only account information we hold.
Connection records — your account’s anonymous user id and the times it connected	Kept for at most 30 days in server logs for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted automatically. Not deleted on request, because they are what would show if someone else had been using your account.

What was never ours to delete

People you memorise never leave your phone. Their faces are stored only in Netra’s private storage on your device. Delete a person in Settings → People, or uninstall the app, and they are gone. We have never had a copy.

Camera and microphone are not recorded. While a session is running they are streamed to Google’s Gemini API so it can describe what is in front of you, and they are not stored by us, anywhere. Google’s handling is covered by the Gemini API Terms.

Your settings — speaking speed, which guidance is on — are on your device and are removed when you uninstall.

Deleting everything

Delete your account using either method above, then uninstall Netra. That removes the account, the memorised people, and your settings. The connection logs age out on their own within 30 days.
